This Privacy Policy explains how Sellara Inc. ("Sellara," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and otherwise processes personal data in connection with our website at sellara.io (the "Site"). The Site is a public-facing marketing site only. We do not offer user accounts, logins, or consumer-facing services through it.

This policy covers the Site only. Client data processed inside the Sellara platform is governed by the written agreement between Sellara and that client, not by this policy. Client data is not used to train public foundation models and does not flow through this Site.

Our collection and use of personal data

Personal data collected automatically

When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information through PostHog, our analytics provider. This may include:

• Pages visited and time spent on each page
• Clicks, scrolling, and other navigation interactions, including which calls to action you select
• Browser type, operating system, and device type
• IP address and approximate geographic location at the country or region level
• Referring URL and the site you navigate to when you leave

We use this information to understand how visitors interact with the Site and to improve its content and experience. We do not use it for advertising.

Our hosting provider, Vercel, also processes technical information such as IP address and request data in server logs as a normal part of delivering the Site securely.

Information you provide directly

If you contact us by email or book a meeting with our team, we collect the information you provide, which may include your name, email address, company, job title, and the contents of your message or meeting request. We use this to respond to you, to schedule and prepare for meetings, and to maintain a record of our conversation.

Please do not send us confidential information about your firm or its clients through these channels. Use a channel covered by a signed agreement instead.

Cookies and tracking technologies

PostHog uses cookies and similar technologies to collect the analytics data described above. These are analytics cookies. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not run advertising or retargeting pixels on the Site.

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings at any time without affecting your ability to browse the Site.

We do not use session recording on this Site.

Our disclosure of personal data

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing or advertising purposes. We may disclose personal data in these limited circumstances:

• Service providers. We share data with the providers listed below, who process it on our behalf and under our instructions.
• Legal obligations. We may disclose personal data if required by law or valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our company or others.
• Business transactions. In a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, personal data may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Third-party services

When you book a meeting, the information you enter is collected by Calendly under its own privacy policy, and is shared with us so we can prepare for and attend the meeting.

No other third-party data processors are active on this Site.

Your privacy choices

You can opt out of PostHog analytics by:

• Enabling Do Not Track in your browser settings. We honor this signal.
• Using a browser extension that blocks analytics scripts, such as uBlock Origin
• Contacting us at the address below and asking us to delete your data

Data retention

Analytics data is retained for the period set by our analytics plan, which is up to seven years. We can delete data associated with an individual visitor sooner on request. Information you provide by email or when booking a meeting is retained for as long as needed to respond to you and to maintain a record of our business relationship, and is then deleted or de-identified.

Children's personal data

The Site is intended for business use and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we learn that such data has been collected, we will promptly delete it.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data collected through the Site, including encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International transfers

We are based in the United States, and the providers listed above may process data in the United States and other countries. Where personal data is transferred from the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, we rely on appropriate safeguards, including the standard contractual clauses used by our service providers.

Region-specific disclosures

EEA, UK, and Switzerland. We process your personal data on the basis of our legitimate interests in understanding and improving the Site, and in responding to inquiries and meeting requests. You may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your data, and to object to processing. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. United States. We do not sell personal data and do not use it for targeted advertising or profiling. Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and other states with applicable laws may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal data, and may appeal a decision on such a request, by contacting us below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last modified" date above always reflects the latest version.
